Department of Agricultural Biotechnology, with additional quota of 16 students in the academic year 2009-2010 began and the first graduates of education during the 2012-2013 academic.

At the moment our department continues to carry education and training work, 1 Associate Professor, 5 Assistant Professor, 1 Doctor Research Assistant and 1 Research Assistant.

Agricultural Biotechnology Department, with other departments and license education in the Faculty of Agriculture is working with scientists and their scientific research. The undergraduate education is 8 semesters (4 years). Student credits 150 (240 ECTS) must complete a 30-day training and education. This training provides students with a bachelor's degree and the title of Agricultural Engineer.

Mission; Agricultural Biotechnology produces information at the international level and providing education, interdisciplinary knowledge and comprehension, Improvements in the world, considering the requirements of the priority areas of our country, provide qualified education and training service to, equipped, educate high self-esteem of Agricultural Engineers, high the value added to applied research and improve advanced technologies.

Vision: by producing information and by providing training in the universal standard, Turkey, that it needs; professional and general culture of the rich, who informed at least one foreign language, it can be used at a level which has both written and oral, open to innovation and criticism of power is adequate, lived in the environment and sensitive international issues, World and national issues in the following as an intellectual, Agricultural Engineers who educate universal.

Plant Biotechnology Unit: By working on, plant genes, cells, cultures, organs, tissues to create useful products and create service, agricultural production, yield and improve quality, create of suitable commercial plant varieties so that the it aims make contribution to society's welfare.

Animal Biotechnology Unit:  Protection of the animal species products benefit from, outstanding efficiency, disease and to pests of resistance such as artificial insemination to improve properties, embryo transfer, gene transfer by microinjection into the cell nucleus, is intended to operate in is administered science of cloning techniques.

Enzyme and Microbial Biotechnology Unit: Engaged in production on a large scale industries and factories before moving to, İn the laboratory scale,, especially to characterize the purification of the enzymes agricultural value,  to be produced by microorganisms, improvement of various properties and o thereby be optimized the ambient conditions that allow production.
