Our department was established in 2008. Department of Plant Protection consists of two main disciplines which are Entomology and Phytopathology. The main dealing subjects of the programmes are the organisms (such as insect, nematodes and mites, fungi, bacteria, phytoplasma and virus) and weed causing damage on crop production. In teaching programme is involved in research on the identification and biology of pests and diseases as well as development of sustainable control methods against them. For the first time, in 2015-2016 academic term,  42 students registered to our department. Plant Protection Department is currently comprised of 2 Assistant Professors and 1 Research Assistant.
